Do you want to start work in a practical role straight away? And create a solid foundation for the start of your career with first-class training? Then an exciting apprenticeship at CLAAS is the right choice for you.

Industrial Mechanic

Are you particularly fond of tinkering, building and repairing? Welcome to the position of an Industrial Mechanic at CLAAS! Here, you will be able to test yourself on some really big machines and become an expert in the industrial production plants, which we use to manufacture harvesting machines.

Your tasks as an industrial mechanic include setting up, retooling and commissioning production plants. And if there are components or assemblies missing? That's no problem for you! Our apprentices simply make them themselves using metal or plastic. Doing so, you will be supported by the knowledge you have gained on various courses covering subjects such as turning, milling, drilling and welding.

Naturally, your role also involves servicing and maintaining machinery because our machines have to be checked regularly for proper operation. As an industrial mechanic, you will always be on the lookout for malfunctions - and it is certainly an interesting task because you will have to find solutions as quickly as possible in order to prevent the production line from coming to a standstill! Afterwards, you will record the latest inspection results in writing so that you and your team can learn from the problems which occur.

As an industrial mechanic, you will be a person with a wide range of skills, a true all-rounder who can be deployed in many different areas upon completion of your 3 ½-year apprenticeship. This could be in the preproduction, production, quality assurance or assembly departments - where do you see yourself in the future?

Apply for the Industrial mechanic apprenticeship if …

  • You want to get to know our massive harvesting machines from the inside and help to create them.
  • You want to "achieve big things".
  • You like to be on the move at work.
